When you work on a lot of client projects, there are times where you're limited on what you can accomplish - whether it's strict requirements, resourcing and cost, or simply lack of time - you don't always get a chance to spread your creative wings.

So I decided to conduct a little self directed case study by coming up with a simple brief for a complex product - an airline aircraft dispatch software - and then attempt to meet that brief through my usual design processes. I ended up crafting an Airline Dispatch Dashboard UI with the goal to challenge myself to translate complex operational needs into a clear, fast interface that supports time critical decisions, reduces cognitive load and stays usable under pressure.
